Dortha June Baumert

Dortha June (Powell) Baumert, a Coalgate resident, was born on February 1, 1947, to Carl Odell and Eunice Dean (Hudson) Powell, at Atoka, Oklahoma. She passed away on January 2, 2026, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 1 day. Dortha graduated from Coalgate High School with the Class of 1965. She worked as a machinist at Blue Bell, later known as Wrangler, until they closed down. Dortha later worked at Ethan Allen, Globe in Ada, and also cooked for the senior citizens. She married Michael Roy Baument on June 30, 1989, at Durant. They were blessed with 36 years together. Dortha was a member of the Coalgate Church of Christ. She liked garage selling. Dortha enjoyed going to Branson, the McGee Creek Lake and many other places. She will be missed.
