Dottie Rae Seymour, 72, of Hampstead, MD, passed away peacefully at Gilchrist of Towson, MD, on May 9th, 2024.
She was born November 28th, 1951, in Tucker County, Parsons, WV, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Golden Poling and Addie Belle (Pifer) Poling. She was the beloved wife of Donald C. Seymour Jr. She was a cherished sister to William Guy Poling, Sylvia Meadows and Addie Faye Jackson; predeceased by her other siblings Pauline Sutherland, Dona Alkire, Roy Poling and Willis Poling.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, David and Christina Neal of Crownsville, MD; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Neal and Jeffrey Stanley of Pasadena, MD; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Ashley Seymour of Hampstead, MD; Grandchildren, Stephen Neal and his wife Jillian Neal, Addie Neal, Landon Neal, Jaxon Seymour, Connor Neal and Maxwell Seymour; and Great-Grandson, Asher Neal. Also survived and loved by many other friends and family.
Dottie enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs, Kloey and Kaylee. She loved all things outdoors, especially gardening and could name any plant or flower just by sight. She had a love for collectables and antiques, mainly her vast collection of Angels given to her by family throughout the years. Dottie was hardworking, kind and made many sacrifices throughout her life for her family without regret. She was easy to make laugh, a West Virginia native, and loved telling stories about growing up on "The Hill" with her brothers and sisters that she shared such a close bond with. She will be deeply missed by all and will never, ever be forgotten.
The family will accept guests for a memorial visitation held Wednesday May 15, 2024 from 2-4pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St. Hampstead, MD 21074.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dottie's name to the Humane Society of Carroll County.
