I attended Texas A&M University with Doug and was not aware of his passing until very recently. He was a highly intelligent and very thoughtful person who is surely missed.

So sorry to learn of Doug's passing today after reading Wake's quarterly magazine. He and I were chemistry majors and spent many hours together studying, going through our notes and quizzing each other as we prepared for each exam. RIP Doug!

My heart goes out to the family of Doug during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things we as humans can experience. May the God of tender mercies comfort your family and you find peace. (1Cor 1:3,4) we look forward to seeing Doug again when all is new. (2 Pet 3:13)

Doug was a great and talented colleague and a wonderful gentleman. May he rest in peace, and may God grant his family the strength to endure in this time of sorrow.

Doug was a most special friend and he will be greatly missed by many. He was kind, caring, intelligent, a great golfer and great friend. My prayers are with Melinda, Jaime and Chase.

Doug was the most decent, loyal and cerebral man I have ever known. I'll never forget how during a reorganization, he swapped jobs with a co-worker who was his close friend which required Doug & his family to relocate to Cleveland. It was one of the most gracious acts I ever witnessed in my corporate life. We had fun golfing with customers during the Cleveland days altho good as Doug was at golf--his expertise never rubbed off on me. Doug was the first person to teach me what GOOGLE is!! He was always technically brilliant and curious.
I lost touch with Doug when I retired but my deepest sympathies go out to Melinda and Doug's son's.
