DOUG JONES Obituary
Doug Jones 68, of Globe, Arizona passed away quietly with family and friends on December 30,2025 at Chandler Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 23,1957 in Denton, Texas.
Doug's family moved to Globe, Arizona when he was six and he has lived in Globe ever since. Doug attended Globe Schools and graduated from Globe High School after which he graduated from Rose Mar Cosmetology school he worked in that field for several years and then attended Eastern Arizona College for 2 years.
Later he went to work for the State of Arizona as a caregiver in a group home. After he retired, he devoted himself to care for his mother.
Doug enjoyed cooking especially holiday meals and playing with his dog molly. He especially enjoyed giving haircuts to his nieces and nephews. He is remembered by his friends and family as a stubborn man who would do anything for them.
A good friend once said, "He was the best friend anyone could ever have."
He is survived by sister Alice (Jimmy) Bullman, nieces Jennifer (Sean) Courtney, Martes (Randy) Scott, nephews Joesph (Tricia) Gonzales, Christopher (Dallas) Gonzales 15 great nieces and nephews, 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
Doug is proceeded in death by his mother Kathryn Marie Jones.
Visitation/ Memorial Services will be on Friday January 16,2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm at Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
