Doug Tober Obituary
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Doug is survived by his wife of 38 years Lori; his sons Bryant (Sara) and Alex (Stephenie); his two grandsons Jacob and Evan; his brothers Ronald (Terry) and Jason (Dee); his brother-in-law Pat (Jill) and his sister-in-laws Lana (Rob) and Lynn; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Alfred Tober.
Doug valued nothing more than time spent with those he loved. His happiest moments were the simple ones-gathering for a meal, watching football, or enjoying the outdoors that always brought him peace.
He took great pride in his career as a civil engineer, dedicating decades to building and improving the communities he cared for. Known for his integrity, attention to detail, and kindness, he earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.
Doug gave generously to his community through quiet acts of kindness. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, sharp mind, and deep love of both people and nature.
A visitation for Doug will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at Busch Funeral Home 21369 Center Ridge Road, Fairview Park, OH 44116. A funeral mass will follow the next day, Friday November 7, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church 525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village, OH 44140. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life reception after funeral services on November 7 at Bay Arts from 12-4pm 28795 Lake Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140.
