Buch Funeral Home - ManheimDouglas W. Agesen Sr., 63, of Manheim entered into the presence of the Lord on October 2nd, 2025. He was the son of Barabara (Eberle) and Walter Weiss and the late William and Doris (Shives) Agesen.
Doug was the beloved husband of Tammy (Stauffer) for 30 years. He was the devoted father of Isabella Pradeep, wife of Anand of Haymarket VA; Alexandra Guffey, wife of Brandon of Norristown, PA; Andrew Smith, husband of Krystene (Brown) of Columbia, PA; and Douglas Agesen Jr., husband of Peggy (Wilder) of Boardman, OH. Doug enjoyed referring to his Goddaughter, Lauren Smith, as his fifth child.
Doug was the best Ga-Ga in the world to his precious grandchildren: Olive (age 1) and June (age 2) Guffey; Eisley (age 1), Leia (age 8), and Keaton (age 10) Smith; and Silas Agesen (age 12).
Doug was employed by Fenner Precision Polymers. where he was known for his incredible work ethic, superb problem-solving skills, and kind mentorship of younger employees.
Doug was happiest when feeding his family. Whether smoking brisket, grilling burgers, cooking Christmas morning breakfast, or baking apple crisp, he always made sure no one left his home hungry. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, coin collecting, and building Lego kits.
Doug is also survived by his sisters, Diane Sanchez, wife of Pedro, and Elisa Royer; his sister-in-law, Michelle Powers, partner of Danny Cassel; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful furry poogle, Rudy.
In addition to his father, Doug was preceded in death by his stepsister, LeAn Ambrose; his brother, Dave Hutchison; his mother-in-law, Irean Landis; and his precious beagle, Birdie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Doug’s Celebration of Life Service at the Penryn Picnic Grove, 1598 Picnic Grove Road, Manheim, on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. Casual attire would be appreciated for the service.
