Douglas Wade Arnold, 85, of Fred, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born on December 3, 1939, in Galveston, to Belvia Jeanette Cunningham Arnold and Ernest Cecil Arnold.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Arnold; children, Gigi Hughes and her husband, Tommy, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; Connie Cook and her husband, Bryan, of Fred; Christy Simon and her husband, David, of Fred; Julie Reedus of Kalama, Washington; Gina Greer of Fred; and John Perala and his wife, Kyla, of Vancouver, Washington; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Stuart of Spurger, and Cecil Arnold and his wife, Barbara, of Colmesneil; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clarence Arnold.

A memorial service for Mr. Arnold will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Douglas Arnold, to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
