Douglas Craig Baker, Sr. Belvidere - Douglas Craig Baker, Sr., 80, of Belvidere, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

A native and lifelong farmer of Belvidere, NC, Doug was the husband of the late Mary Ann Ward Baker and the late Ann Copeland Baker and was the son of Wallace Riddick Baker, Sr. and Iona Mae Williams Baker, both deceased.

Survivors include his daughter, Martha Ann Baker (Joe Rash) of Elizabeth City, NC; son, Douglas Craig Baker, Jr. (Susan) of Belvidere, NC; grandchildren, James Baker and Mary Grace Baker; sister, Marilyn Whiteside of McLean, VA; and brothers, Wallace Baker, Jr. (Lois) of Clayton, NC, Donald W. Baker, of Elizabeth City, NC, and Christopher Baker (Deborah) of Garner, NC.

Funeral services celebrating Doug's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Bethany United Methodist Church, Belvidere, NC with Rev. Vickie Woolard and Rev. Casey Vaandering officiating. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment will follow in the Baker Family Cemetery, Belvidere, NC.

Mr. Baker will be available for viewing and signing the guestbook on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Hertford, NC.
