Douglas R. Baldwin

Douglas Ray Baldwin, age 88, of Liberty passed away peacefully June 14, 2024 at The Randolph Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 28, 1935 in Loudon, Tennessee the son of the late Zeb H. Baldwin and Julia Thornburg Baldwin Sexton. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Combs.
Douglas served in the United States Air Force as part of the Aircraft Maintenance Squad. He later began a career in technology and retired from Pace Communications as a computer analyst. His knowledge of computer systems was invaluable to his employers and family. He enjoyed watching soccer games in his leisure time and spending time near the water fishing. Most of all, he loved being in the company of his family and close friends, especially when sharing time around the dinner table.
Left to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 30 years, Evelyn S. West; sons, Troy Baldwin (Penny) and Cory Baldwin (Nancy); daughter, Laura Spangenburg; stepsons, Steve West (Rayeann) and Adam West (Shannon); stepdaughter, Sharon Service (Les); numerous grandchildren, and other family and friends.
The family will celebrate his life with a private service at a later date.
