Douglas Beichler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home - Wilmington on Dec. 17, 2025.
Douglas John Beichler, age 63, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

He was born July 10, 1962, in Wadsworth, Ohio, the son of John O. and Donna (Holland) Beichler. Doug was a deeply spiritual Christian man who loved the Lord and lived his life guided by faith.

After graduating from Cloverleaf High School in 1980, Doug proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Aviation was his lifelong passion, and following his military service, he continued working in the aviation industry for almost 40 years. He took great pride in knowing that an F-111 aircraft he performed maintenance on is currently displayed at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

In his free time, Doug enjoyed playing volleyball and softball, as well as spending time playing cards with his family. Above all else, the true joy of his life was his family-especially his children and beloved grandchildren.

Doug is survived by the love of his life, Dianna (Griffith) Beichler, whom he married on April 22, 1989, in Rittman, Ohio; his mother, Donna (Holland) Beichler of Seville, Ohio; daughter Andrea (Michael) Ford of Xenia, Ohio; son Trevor Douglas Beichler of Cold Springs, Kentucky; cherished grandchildren Benjamin, Adalynn, and Jasher; sister Jan (Greg) Showalter of Huntington, West Virginia; mother-in-law Darlene (Saal) Griffith of Rittman, Ohio; sister-in-law Debbie Reeves of Wadsworth, Ohio; brother-in-law Douglas (Robin) Griffith of Wooster, Ohio; along with several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John O. Beichler; father-in-law, Richard Griffith; and brother-in-law, Larry Reeves.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio. Graveside services will be privately observed by the family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio, with Military Honors.
