Douglas D. Brodock

Douglas D. Brodock, 83, of Taberg, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rome on July 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Orville and Mildred (Richardson) Brodock. He was a member of the graduating class of 1961 at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and on September 15, 1962, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elvera "Penny" Peck.

Doug worked at Oneida Limited from 1966-99 before retiring. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting deer and turkey, fishing Fish Creek for walleye and bass, and faithfully tending to his vegetable garden each year.

Surviving besides his loving wife of 63 years, Penny, is a daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Mike Perry; three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Tammy Brodock, Jeffrey and Kathy Brodock, and Lynne and Lisa Brodock; three sisters, Cheryl White (Richard), Pam Brown (Bruce), Wendy Lacey (Charles); and a brother, Neil Brodock (Cynthia); twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia McCarthy; three brothers, Ronnie, Wayne, and Lance Brodock; and two granddaughters, Tonya and Nicole Brodock.

Doug's family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care, Dr. Shaaban and staff at Rome Health, especially the nurses and aides on 2 East, for their exceptional care and comforting compassion.
