Douglas served his country honorably in the United States Army. He then worked for 37 years at Federal Paper. He was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are several special family members and close special friends; Frances Stephens and Delane Stephens.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rights will follow at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Buffkin family.
