Doug enjoyed planting a garden, riding his tractor, and spending time with his family. He was employed by IBM as a Warehouse Manager and was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda King Carroll; sons, David Carroll (Rena), Kenneth Carroll (Melissa); grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Landon, London; sister, Edna Carroll Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 12th at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend much love and a special thanks to his long-term caretaker, Christie Sparrow. They would also like to extend a special thanks to the Duke Hospice Nurses for their love and support.
