Douglas "Keith" Casey

July 11, 1954 - December 30, 2025

Douglas "Keith" Casey, 71, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on July 11, 1954, to Betty and Bill Casey, in Texarkana.

He was a man who genuinely enjoyed helping others, always offering a hand, whenever it was needed. His pointed and steadfast devotion to his faith guided the way he lived, loved, and served those around him. An Eagle Scout and a proud member of the Order of the Arrow, Keith cherished his time in scouting-especially the canoeing trips, long hikes, and adventures that helped form his love for the outdoors.

Keith had a deep appreciation for antiques, finding joy in the stories and history behind each unique piece. Above all, Keith was the type of person who always went the extra mile. Whether for family, friends, or strangers, he gave freely of himself, leaving lasting impressions on the countless lives he touched. He was also grandfathered into the Kiowa Indian Tribe.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Rilla Casey; sons, Christopher Casey, Johnathan Casey, and Benjaman Casey; brothers, Tony Casey and his wife, Mary, Cary Casey and his wife, Rose, and Rick Casey and his wife, Ruth; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
