Douglas Chard Obituary
He was born June 17, 1982 in Bad Axe to Brian Chard and Debra (Kasdorf) Chard. Douglas was a graduate of Marlette High School with the Class of 2000 and a proud member of the Operating Engineers Union # 324. Douglas was an avid sports fan, especially of the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lion's. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting and going thrift shopping. Douglas loved to cook and always up for a good BBQ.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Andrew "Drew" Chard; father, Brian (Georgia) Chard; mother, Debra Chard (Ed G); brother, Clayton "Bird" (Rachael) Chard; grandmothers, Kay LaCross, Pat Chard and Linda Werner.
Douglas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ron Chard, Gary LaCross and Bud and Kathy Kasdorf.
The family will receive visitors from 2-7 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette.
