Douglas White Obituary

Mr. Douglas "Doug" Delano White, age 81 of Calhoun, Ga., passed away on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, at a local assisted living facility.

Mr. White was born in Rockingham, NC, on July 21st, 1943, a son of the late John Stancil White and Ophelia Matthews White. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. Stan White, David White, and Ted White; three sisters, Phyllis Abbott, Lillian Harmon, and Susie Beck. Prior to his retirement, Mr. White had a successful career as owner and operator of RT Carpet and Rugs. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn "Kathy" DeRocha White; four daughters, Chris White Amos, Jennifer White Millinor (Blake), Risha Ann Rodgers, and Tracy White Thomas; one sister, Silver Kim; six grandchildren, Matthew Amos (Aubriana), Michael Rodgers Jr. (Valeria), Trevor White, Brooks White (Faith), Sarah Faith Amos, and Noah Thomas; and one great-grandson, Christopher Rodgers.

A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced later.
