Graveside memorial services for Douglas "Skipper" Dunn, 82, of Brachfield, will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Zion Hill Cemetery with Bro. Marshall Moorhead officiating. Inurnment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Dunn home in Brachfield. Mr. Dunn stepped into the presence of his Savior on July 28, 2025, in Henderson. He was born March 6, 1943, in Henderson to the late Douglas Grady Dunn Sr. and Mary Franklin (Deason) Dunn. He lived most all of his life in Rusk County and worked as an auto parts salesman for O'Reilly Auto Parts until his retirement. Skipper was a gifted mechanic and enjoyed working on old cars. He also loved to mow and took great pride in taking care of his property. Mr. Dunn was a dedicated member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Dunn of Brachfield; son, Douglas Dunn III and wife Kuttharin Wad of Galveston; and daughter, Kari Whitfield and husband Scott of Brachfield. He was "Hopi" to 5 grandchildren, Quinton Springer, Ashlynne Pinzon and husband David, McKenzie Utzman and husband Aldon, Jacy Dunn, and Natalie Dunn; 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by niece, Kat Boyd; as well as a host of cousins, other family and friends. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.
