Douglas Eichholz Obituary
Douglas D. Eichholz, 66, longtime resident of Nashwauk, Minn., died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his home in Nashwauk.
He was born November 7, 1958, to Charles W. and Geraldine B. (Glidden) Eichholz in Hibbing, Minn. Doug resided in Chisholm, Minn., for about 10 years during his lifetime. He enjoyed motorcycles, and owned a Harley, he liked fishing, camping, sitting around the campfire, or just being outdoors. A few of his favorite pastimes were watching TV with his brother Greg, and a weekly Sunday dinner at his sister, Laura's house.
Doug is survived by his siblings, Greg Eichholz, Hibbing, Laura (Lonnie) Bigo, Nashwauk, MN, Tricia Andrews, Bemidji, MN, Karen (Andrew) Kingsbury, Cloverdale, MN, and David (Kitty) Eichholz, North Branch, MN, his step-brothers and sisters, Cindy (John) Turkala, Mark (Shelly) Collyard, Pam Collyard, and Lynn Hachey, all of Hibbing, MN, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Geraldine, stepfather, Louis Collyard, brother-in-law, Jack Andrews, his niece, Katie Dixon, and great-nephew, Hunter Melbostad.
Funeral services for Douglas will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Tricia Andrews, his sister, will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will be in Nashwauk Cemetery, Nashwauk, MN.
