Douglas Haas Obituary

Douglas W. Haas
1958 - 2026
Southwick
Douglas W. Haas (67) was called home on March 6, 2026. Doug was the son of the late Ada Haley and Henry Haas. He was a lifelong resident of Southwick MA and graduated with the Class of 1978 from Southwick High School.
Doug and his brothers grew up on the Haas Dairy Farm and he also worked on the neighboring farm over the years. Dough was a huge hockey fan, a wicked history buff, loved metal detecting, and was an all around people person. His love for animals was untouched. His cat, Aldo, was like a son to him.
Doug is survived by his brothers, Steven Haas of Southwick and David (Cheryl) Haas of Westfield; his nieces, Jennifer (Bob) Taylor of Youngsville NC and Jessica Haas of Westfield MA, and his nephew, David Haas of Granville MA. They meant the world to him. Doug also leaves many other family members, including Tim Haas; Melody Haas; David, Stanley, Leo Bates & Laura Bates Field.
Doug especially cherished his lifelong friends – Dean Rankin, the Rankin family, Todd Phillips & family, plus everyone at Nitor Laser.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, Southwick has been entrusted with arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.forastiere.com.
