EAST GREENBUSH - Douglas H. Hadley, 90, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at home.
Douglas was born in Waterloo, Ind., the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Burlow) Hadley.
Doug had a passion for everything revolving around the Green Bay Packers and was notorious for his Green Bay Packers car that he drove around East Greenbush.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War era and was a member of the East Greenbush VFW and Melvin Roads American Legion. He also was a member of the Rensselaer Elks Club and the Albany Curling Club for many years.
He was a self employed salesperson in advertising for his whole life.
Survivors include beloved wife, Karla Hadley; four daughters, Stephanie Estrada, Cherie (Bruce) Goetsch, Margaret (Jeremy) Kreiger, and Heather Bachandouris; two sons, Douglas (Wendy) Hadley and Kurt (Shana) Hadley; brother, Mark Hadley; and sister, Sally Hadley, sister-in law, Jeannine Hadley. Doug is also survived by 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sons, Michael Hadley, Kenneth Hadley, and Greg Hadley; and brother, Donald Hadley.
Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, March 18, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. A Funeral Mass will be held the following morning on Thursday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m., in the Church of St. Mary's, at Clinton Heights, 163 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Interment will follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m.
Contributions in Douglas's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
