Douglas B. Herron, 83, of Rio Frio, Texas passed away on August 11, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on August 19, 1941, in Fargo, North Dakota to Pearl Seline (Miller) and Gifford Buckley Herron.
He married Audrey Marie Saunders on July 22, 1963, in Key West, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years of Rio Frio; two daughters, Debra Lynn Tyson and husband, James of Houston and Kristine Everhard and husband, Lonnie of Kingston, Oklahoma; son, Kevin Blake Herron and wife, Frances Louise of Dripping Springs; brother, Jack Herron of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
