Roberto C. Samarripa, 75, of Uvalde, passed away on February 16, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born on January 21, 1951, in Uvalde, to Eulalia (Chacon) and Pedro Samarripa.
He married Stella Peña on June 16, 1972, in Uvalde.
He is survived by his wife Stella of 53 years of Uvalde; two sons, Roberto C. Samarripa, Jr. and wife, Allison and Randy P. Samarripa and wife, Alyssa all of San Antonio; sister, Rachel Rodriguez of Uvalde; two brothers, Rogelio Samarripa and wife, Jeannie and Reynaldo Samarripa all of Uvalde; two grandchildren, Karynn Samarripa and Christian Samarripa both of San Antonio; and numerous sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernest Samarripa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Raul Rubio, Roy Perez, Jaime Cantu, Lionel Douin, Jr. Jimmy Hernandez and Lalo Diaz.
