Douglas "Doug" W. Johnson, age 63 of Duluth (formerly New Ulm) died unexpectedly at his home in Duluth on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. – Monday, September 29, 2025, at the New Ulm City Cemetery in New Ulm with Pastor Amy Karlson officiating.

The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.

Doug is survived by his mother, Lois Schorn of New Ulm; and his brother, Denny Johnson of Madelia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Johnson; and his sister-in-law, Sheri Johnson.

Douglas Warren Johnson was born February 5, 1962, in New Ulm to Warren and Lois (Krebs) Johnson. Growing up in New Ulm, Doug was a 1980 graduate of the New Ulm High School. After high school, Doug spent some time in the military before starting his career in appliance repair. Doug spent many years working as an appliance technician at Sears until his retirement. Throughout his life, Doug lived in Minnesota and Texas, but always seemed to gravitate back home to Duluth. He will be deeply missed by those he touched throughout his life. Blessed be his memory.
