A Funeral Mass is planned for Thursday, September 26, 2024, 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter RC Church, 155 William Street, Belleville, N.J. 07109. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

I met and worked with Doug at ShopRite in Stroudsburg Pa while he was in college at East Stroudsburg University. He was a real stand up guy. Very smart and our friend group had lots of good times together. I´m very sad he is no longer with us.

I met Doug at East Stroudsburg University where we were both attending . We also worked at ShopRite together. A great memory : I was at work Doug calls and asks can you leave work early? What´s up? I have floor seats to a private show for employees at wakefern for helping in 9/11 and the show was for the Boss! We watched Bruce Springsteen 10 feet from the stage truly an amazing experience I will never forget. Doug had a Huge heart he took on a lot and did a lot for many people even though he was sick. Doug was a great friend always there when you needed him always available to lend an ear or hand . One time I needed a hand moving and my roommate at the time was losing her mind screaming and yelling I was leaving . Doug comes in and dead pan should we do this another time? Cracked me up and eased the situation. A great friend who will be missed . Love ya Doug may you rest in peace . Exactly
