A Memorial Graveside Service for Douglas Loock, age 68, of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Spencer, Nebraska will be at 11 am on Friday July 11, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Spencer Nebraska. Douglas passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at his home in Knoxville. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in Spencer. Douglas Ray Loock was born on May 21, 1957 to Richard and Barbara (Cleary) Loock in Lynch, NE. His family moved to Fremont while he was in grade school. Doug was a 1975 graduate of Fremont High School where he travelled to Canada as a member of the marching band, he was cast in the Fremont High School play Oklahoma musical and also played for the Country Apollos band. Doug went on to attend University of Nebraska-Omaha serving as president as a member of the TKO fraternity and served as President of TKO during his membership. Doug lived in Minnesota for an extended period of time where he loved the outdoors, especially spending time on the many lakes of Minnesota. Boating and skiing were a passion when he had enough time. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Loock of Fremont; siblings, Patricia Christen of Lincoln, NE, Sherri Tafoya and husband, Stan, of Lincoln, NE; Wayne Loock of Fremont NE; Lori Swindell and husband Jonathan of Blue Springs, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Along with special friend and caretaker Patsy Morris of Knoxville. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Loock.
