Douglas Maney Obituary
Mr. Maney was born in Lakeland, Florida and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Douglas worked for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, Fellsmere Police Department and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He served 2 terms in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and Southeastern Cherokee Tribe. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and going on trips with his wife. He was a loving son, stepfather, and grandfather and truly cherished his time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his father, Barnett Maney of Bartow, FL; brother, John Maney of Bartow, FL; daughters, Stephanie (Christopher) Dotson of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jessica (Jeff) Moriarty of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Kristen (Josh) Mann of Okeechobee, FL; grandchildren, Kyle Hovey, Kaitlin Fuson, Kasey Wise, Britton Moriarty, Clayton Mann, Lillianna Mann and Briley Moriarty. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda D. Maney.
Services: A gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 12:00-1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
