Doug and Carol were residents of Wayne, NJ where they raised their three children, Douglas, Dennis, and Karen. They later moved to Stockholm, NJ and Whiting, NJ. Doug was preceded in death by his eldest son, Douglas Mayer. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children, and nine grandchildren.
Doug's grandchildren brought immense joy into his life. They include David, Michelle, Matt, Danielle, Justin, Christopher, and Thomas. He also had two step-grandchildren, Kim and Nicole. Doug was blessed with one great-grandchild, Penny Lane, and three step-great-grandchildren, Leah, Cameron, and William.
Douglas was a man of great character and will be remembered for his love of life and his enduring spirit. He was kind and compassionate, and always made people laugh. He had a contagious smile and was loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
