Guillermo Pedro De Pierola, of W. Orange, N.J. passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born in Lima, Peru, to the late Jorge and Piedad (née Martinez) De Pierola, Guillermo spent his early life in his native country. In his twenties, he immigrated to the United States, first settling in Manhattan, New York. His journey eventually led him to New Jersey, where he resided in Jersey City and Hoboken before making homes in Newark and finally West Orange. Guillermo poured his energy and talent into the culinary world, owning and operating numerous restaurants that spanned from Queens, New York, to Miami, Florida. Beyond his professional endeavors, he had a deep appreciation for the arts, enjoying videography and photography. A true lover of the open road, he cherished leisure drives, particularly road trips to Florida, and traveling abroad to Europe.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Alfonso, Armando, Hugo, Leonardo, and Jorge. He is survived by his devoted family: his children, Nelly, Patricia, Nicolas, and Fatima De Pierola; his cherished grandchildren, Sofia, Michael, Nicolas, Samantha, and Daniel; and his adored great-granddaughter, Giavanna. He is also survived by his siblings, Piedad, Maria Rosario, Luis Miguel, and Julio, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
