Douglas Eugene McCloy

Douglas Eugene McCloy, 63, of Stonewood, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on September 7, 1961, a son of the late Willard Bloom and Geraldine "Gerry" McKinney McCloy.
Douglas is survived by his wife of nearly 23 years, Chrystal Heck McCloy, who he married on June 13, 2002, who resides at their home in Stonewood.
Also surviving are his sons, Justin White and wife Brittany of Stonewood, Jon White and wife Chelsea of Pittsburgh, his daughters, Trista Bouwens and husband Mike of Grafton, Nickie Coffman and husband Andrew of Clarksburg, and Sammi Bradley and husband Josh of Morgantown; his grandchildren, Julian, Bentley, Finn, Roya, Seth, Andi, Jenna, Avery, Adaline, Axel, Rylee, Kole and Hayden. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bill McCloy of Clarksburg, Rod McCloy of Clarksburg, Rick McCloy and wife Julie of Lumberport, sisters, Karen Bailey of Ohio, Althea "Punk" Starkey of Stonewood, Ruby Farley of Belington, Donita Gragg and husband Eddie of Clarksburg, Donna Blair and husband Larry of Anmoore, and Janie Yoak and husband Okey of Stonewood; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Richards, sister-in-law, Jean McCloy, and brothers-in-law, John Farley and Harold Bailey.
He attended Roosevelt Wilson High School and graduated at the age of 17 then enlisted in the Army Reserves where he served for six years and trained to be a Military Policeman. He was a sales manager for Pepsi for several years.
Doug was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple and enjoyed sharing gospel tracks wherever he went. He wanted not only the ones he loved to know God but others too.
He loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them. He also loved old muscle cars and watching programs on how to restore them. Doug didn't know a stranger, and was always helpful to those in need. He didn't let his health issues defeat him. He would say, "when I start feeling sorry for myself I just look around and then I thank God for the health I have." He loved to make people laugh. Doug was loved and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service will be at the conclusion of the visitation with Pastor Charles Madaus presiding.
Interment will follow in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
