Douglas Myer Obituary
Douglas L. Myer, 65, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton after a lengthy illness.
Doug was born on May 21, 1958 in Loudonville to Thomas and Norma Jean (Bowman) Myer and was a 1976 graduate of Wooster High School. He retired from Frito Lay in Wooster. Doug enjoyed vacating, bike riding and taking long walks. He loved to read and attend his grandkids sporting events.
Surviving is his loving companion of 31 years Judy Boreman; Judy's children, Christina and Wayne Balis of Burbank, Anthony and Christine Boreman of Akron and Gabe and Charity Ramsier of Sterling; grandchildren, Paige and Trey Balis, Kooper and Arlo Boreman and Ryver and Wyatt Ramsier and his beloved dog, Sugar,
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Randy and Jim Myer.
Services and Military Honors will be Wednesday, Jan. 17th at 12:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with the procession forming at Murray Funeral Home in Creston at 12:00 noon. Rev. Clinton Casto will officiate the service. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th ST., SW, Suite 3400, Canton, OH 44707.
