Douglas Macarthur Perry Sr, 74, of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with the lord on August 30, 2025. He passed away at home with his loved ones by his side.
Douglas Macarthur Perry Sr. was born February 10, 1951, the son of the late Edwards and Ethel Evans Perry in Holden, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Bill Perry, Charles Gideon Perry, and Howard "Buddy" Perry, Irene Walsh, Louise Golden, Anna Mae Weston, and Anita Deskins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Perry; his son, Douglas "April" Perry; his daughter, Tina "Scott" Perry; and many grandchildren. Justin Maynard, Magen "Jason" Kerns, William "Lindsey" Day, Douglas "Kaylee" Perry, Brandon "Brianna" Allen, Joshua "Rebecca" Perry, Noah Allen, Jacob Perry, and great-grandchildren Patience Kerns, Jayden Kerns, Aleiah Perry, Elliott Fultz, Brantley Perry, Adrienne Kerns, Elowyn Perry, Jaxon Kerns, Dawsyn Perry, Lila Day, Joel Day, Dixie Perry, Amelia Allen.
He loved spending his time surrounded by his Wife, Kids, Grandkids, and great-grandkids.
He retired from ICP after 43 years. His hobbies included hunting. He loved to spend his time hunting with his son Douglas and his grandson
Jacob. He also loved watching football with his daughter, Tina. He loved to shop, bird watch (hummingbirds were his favorite), and work on various projects.
Douglas was one of the most loving, caring, compassionate people you could ever meet. He never met a stranger and was always there to help in any way possible.
Visitation will be held September 14, 2025, at Newcomer Southwest Chapel. 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 1:00-3:00 followed by a service at 3:00.
