Douglas Ptak Obituary
Douglas proudly served with the Cook County Sheriff's Department for 29 years, dedicating his life to public service with integrity, loyalty, and strength. Beyond his career, Douglas was a devoted family man who deeply valued time spent with his loved ones and embraced life fully, enjoying its simple moments as much as its milestones.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Ptak; his cherished children, Alyx Ptak (Ryan), Brittney Ptak, Marcus Ptak, Nathan Szuta, and Logan Long; his dear parents, Joseph and Stephanie Ptak; and his beloved siblings, Shannon (Robert) True, Ben Ptak, and Dee Ptak.
Douglas will be remembered for his dedication, his steady presence, and the love he had for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of service, commitment, and deep devotion to those he cared for.
