Biography:
Douglas (Doug) Reid Rawn, age 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2025. He was born September 20, 1945 in Houston, TX. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Disston and Betty Ann Rawn. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Daily Rawn; daughters Debbie Rawn and Lori Clark of Louisville, Kentucky and Lisa Rawn and Paula Keys of Little Rock, Arkansas; stepsons, Nicholas Daily and Jessica Daily of Hanahan, South Carolina, Austin Daily of Singapore, Singapore; and was the beloved Poppa to grandchildren Stephen Elias Daily and Mathias Reid Daily. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Bobby Rawn (Debbie), Greg Rawn (Barbara) and Jeff Rawn (Cinde) and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a man of few words with a kind heart and compassion for others and will be greatly missed by us all.
Doug attended Conway High School. He went on to Hendrix College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business in 1968. Doug was a competitive swimmer in college and continued swimming as an adult. He was a member of the Arkansas Masters Swim Club.
He was employed by Fairfield Communities as a marketing specialist for 10 years. He went on to become Chief Financial Officer for Advantaged Communications and retired from there in 2011.
Doug was active in the Arkansas Democratic Party. He was a member of the Young Democrats and served as State Treasurer. He was elected to the Democratic County Committee in 1970 and served for several years. He also worked for Senator William J. Fulbright and Governor Dale Bumpers in different capacities.
Doug was a proud member of the Army Reserves for 29years. He attained the rank of Master Staff Sergeant.
Doug was active in his church, serving on the Vestry at St. Michael's Episcopal Church. He was a current member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 12th at 2:30 pm at St. Michael's Episcopal Church at 12415 Cantrell Road. Little Rock, AR 72223. His ashes will be placed at a later date at St. Michael's columbarium.
For all who knew him, Doug loved to eat and enjoyed every meal! Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Arkansas Food Bank, Our House, or a place of your choice where meals are provided for those in need would be greatly appreciated.
