Douglas D. Redman

Douglas D. Redman, 79, of Arlington, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Morrow County Hospital. Doug was born in Blue Island, Illinois, June 14, 1946, to Dean and Carrie (Delzell) Redman. He married Frances Kay Singer November 16, 1968, and she preceded him in death February 5, 2017.

Doug served his country proudly in the Navy and then in the U.S. Army, retiring after 21 years of service. He then worked as a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his son, Mike (Tammy) Redman of Ashely; daughter, Pam (Kevin) Sicilian of Powell; three grandchildren, Joseph Redman, Jacob Sicilian, Jacob Denny-Redman; a nephew, Dean (fiancé Blair) Redman of Bradley, Illinois; and a brother-in-law, Gary Singer.

Doug was preceded in death by his son, Duane Redman; and brother, Paul Redman.

He was an active member of the local VFW and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. A private family burial will be later at Arlington Cemetery.
