Douglas Arthur Robinson Jr. passed away tragically after an unexpected fall that resulted in a brain injury. The Lord called him home on March 14th 2026.

Even in his passing, Doug continued to give to others. After his death, he heroically donated his viable organs to help those in need. This act was no surprise to those who knew him. Doug was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.

Doug was a wonderful man who loved being outdoors, working hard, and enjoying the warmth of the sunshine. He had a special appreciation for life's simple pleasures, especially stopping by a gas station for a cold Diet Pepsi and a quick visit with whoever happened to be there. Doug devoted 18 years to Nucor-Vulcraft in Florence, the friendships established there were ones he truly treasured.

He deeply loved his community and was a teacher and mentor to many. Over the years, he shared wisdom and skills from countless trades with more young men than can possibly be named. Doug also had the pleasure of working alongside many farmers in our area. He thought the world of them, all of his boys, and of his dear lifelong friends. To Doug, no one was a stranger; everyone was family.

Above all, Doug was a man of faith. He spoke often of his love for the Lord and lived his life guided by that faith. He faithfully served as a welcoming member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he greeted others with warmth and kindness.

Doug's legacy of generosity, faith, hard work, and love for others will live on in the many lives he touched.

Doug leaves behind his beloved wife of 14 years, Alice Robinson; his daughters, Julia Ann Kennedy (Jim Kennedy), Allison Muller (Justin Muller), and Mary Ashley Turner (Wesley Turner); and six precious grandchildren whom he adored and treasured: Jenni and Jamie Kennedy, Raina and Grier Turner, and James and Henry Muller. His mother and father, Arthur and Bernice Robinson. His sister Julie Hill(Scott Hill), sister-in-law Dana Lewis, nieces Kelsey Johnson (Ethan Johnson), Leah Reese (Timothy Reese), nephew Nelson Hill (Emily Hill). He also leaves behind many lifelong friends, including his former wife of 23 years and mother to his girls, Becky Levine. Mother in law Phyllis Yates. Doug also had a brother and sister in Stein and Julie Lee, and loved and cherished their children and grandchildren as his own as well. Sulli Lee(Ashley Lee and Andrew Lee), Tylar Lee (Lauren Lee and Ellie Lee), Maxilyn Lee. He had a special friend in Troy Mims which included his family, and his employees.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Barrineau Pentecostal Church with burial at Pine Grove Methodist Church in Turbeville. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service (10 am) . Celebration of Life following the burial at the Pine Grove Church gym.

Any memorials can be made to Horse Branch Student Ministries Operation Christmas Child fund that his girls proudly work. Doug had a heart for missions and we know he would love the opportunity to provide gifts and the gospel to children around the world Or to the Pine Grove Cemetery funds where he will be buried with his family.

The family would like to express a special thanks to MUSC Florence Emergency Department and SICU Team.
