Douglas William Roff, age 76, of Langley, Washing ton, passed away on October 21, 2024. Born on October 20, 1948, in Seattle, Doug was a graduate of Shoreline High School, class of 1966.
Doug honorably served in the United States Navy for three years as a Petty Officer Second Class, earning the National Defense Service Medal for his service during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked as an Electronics Mechanic. He took pride in his craft and was dedicated to his career, retiring in 2020.
Doug's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his brothers, GaryRobert andChristopher Gray; his son, Tristan Douglas; daughter-in-law, Ali McManus; grandchildren, Blaine, Wesley, Rolon, and Daisy; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Damon, in 2005, and his daughter, Brett Michelle, in 1995. His parents William and Marian Roff also preceded him in death in 2003 and 2019 respectively.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Readiness to Learn, PO Box 280, Langley, WA 98260.
Doug will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
