Douglas Junior Rogers, 66, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was born in Dalton, Georgia, on September 11, 1957, to the late Harold and Hazel Rogers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Rogers.
Douglas loved carving wood and writing stories. He was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vickie Rogers; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and David Sanders, Amanda Cochran, and Lora and Micheal Welch; brothers and sister-in-law, Danny and Lisa Rogers, Roy Rogers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana and Glen Schleusner, Debbie and Ronnie Lanning, Sharon and Danny Nicholson, Cathy Hopper; grandchildren, Austin Sanders, Kaitlyn Rogers, Emily Rogers, Kaley Welch, Coen Cochran, Maci Sanders, and Addy Cochran. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Rogers, Roy Rogers, David Sanders, Austin Sanders, Joey Rogers, Josh Rogers, and Nathan Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Timothy Sullivan, Chris Lane, and Mike Benfield.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
