Douglas L. Schneider, age 68, of Covington, OH went home to be with the Lord at 4:23pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was born September 18,1956 in Piqua, OH to the late Donald F. and Betty L. (Malone) Schneider. On March 17, 1973, at St. Mary's Church in Piqua, OH. He married Pamela S. Wion, and she preceded him death on February 3,2022.
Douglas is survived by three children: Nicole (John) Shearer, Piqua, OH; David (Tracy) Schneider, Piqua, OH; Michael (Mandy) Schneider, Twentynine Palms, CA; two brothers and sister in laws: Gary (Pat) Wagner, Piqua, OH; Mark (Diane) Wagner, Lewis Center, OH: one sister: Lee Talkie, Summerville, SC. Four grandchildren: Ethan Gevedon, Cambria Schneider, Jessica Kays, Amanda Bowman, one great grandchild: Jace Bowman and his significant other: Jan Wintrow, Piqua, OH. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Chuck Wagner, and Rick Wagner, one sister: Judy Bunnell and one son-in-law: David Gevedon.
Douglas worked for Piqua Emery Foundry for 33 years before retiring. He spent his spare time enjoying the beauty of the outdoors by fishing, hunting, gardening and would then make a fabulous meal in the kitchen with food from his garden.
A celebration of Douglas' life will be held on Saturday September 27,2025 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at 10027 Piqua Lockington Rd. Piqua, Ohio.
