Douglas M. Taylor

Douglas "Doug" Martin Taylor, age 89, longtime Howell area resident passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 in Fenton. He was born March 25, 1932 in Detroit the son of Russell and Edith (Powell) Taylor. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 66 years, Lucille. Father of Doug, Lisa (Mariano) Reyes, Michael, Mary (Tim) Hudson, Anne Taylor, and Jennifer (John) Boone. Also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Glenn and brother Russ. Doug was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Salem. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, was a sales representative for the automotive supply industry and pursued his interest in martial arts where he became a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Thai-Kwon-Do and taught Thai-Chi for many years. In his retirement he was a dedicated Trustee for Deerfield Township. Visitation will be held Friday, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell. A Mass Of Resurrection will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Rd., Howell, Michigan 48855.
