Sharon Englund Obituary
Sharon was born on September 21, 1949 in Galesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Gertrude Filkowski. She graduated from Galesville High School. Sharon married her soulmate, John Englund, on February 6, 1971 in her hometown, and they built a life rooted in love and laughter.
Sharon's love was shown in her home. She was a homemaker at heart and made sure everyone felt welcome when at her home. Sharon cooked wonderful meals and created a warm environment for her family. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts that would be cherished for generations. Sharon loved traveling to Las Vegas and gambling with a Miller Lite in her hand. She was a true Polish woman at heart, strong-willed, nurturing, and always witty.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, John Englund; children, Anthony (Sherry) Englund, Marcus (Nancy) Englund, and Timothy (Ky) Englund; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Tami Mehlhorn.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Filkowski; and her sister, Rusti Filkowski.
As Sharon wished, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements provided by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel.
