Douglas Welch Obituary
Born on October 2, 1944, in Bluemont, VA, he was the son of the late Tillis Welch and Bertha Riley. He was of the Christian Faith.
Douglas was a sheet metal fabricator fabricator in the HVAC industry, and a general entrepreneur. He was a devoted and kind family man.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah, at home; two sons, Douglas "Buddy" Cahill and wife, Kimberly, Jeff Cahill and wife, Kari; one step-daughter, Denise Robinson; four grandchildren, Meagan Cherney, Travis Cahill, Brady Cahill, Kendal Cahill; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Harper, Ryleigh; one sister, Dorothy Hutchinson; special niece, Sue Tyler; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, three sisters; and four brothers.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

I am so sorry for this family´s loss. Jennifer always talked about her daughter and grandkids and I know she loved them so much by how she talked about them. I know she grieved hard when her husband died. I remember talking to her about it shortly after and I knew her love for him was so deep. I love you Jennifer.
