Obituary of Douglas Lee Wellbaum
Douglas Lee Wellbaum, 80, of Clermont, FL, passed away on April 5, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1943, in Lima, OH. Throughout his life, Douglas dedicated himself to a career in the aviation industry, bringing professionalism and passion to his work until his well-deserved retirement.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Douglas found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a golfer, and avid sports fan. Additionally, Douglas cherished the warm weather of Florida, where he made his home. The sunshine and gentle breeze brought him immense happiness, and he took full advantage of the outdoor activities it afforded him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Mary Margaret Wellbaum, and brother Randy Wellbaum. Douglas is survived by his son Timothy Lee Wellbaum of San Francisco, CA; daughters, Terri (Jay) Schiavello of Oakland, MD; Tammi Sue Wellbaum of Clermont, FL; and Trisha Lynn Wellbaum of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Bill (Jill) Wellbaum of Salt Lake City, UT; Jim (Sharon) Wellbaum of DeGraff, OH; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
There are no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
