Doyle Leroy Alexander was born to James Leroy Alexander and Thelma Miller Alexander in Kiowa, Kansas on March 15, 1934. He moved to heaven February 26, 2024.
Most of his early days were spent farming wheat on his family's homestead in Amorita, Oklahoma with his father and grandfather. The majority of his school days were in Enid, Oklahoma. He met Marilyn Louise Minton in 6th grade, dated all through high school and married when they were at Okmulgee Technical School. He studied mechanical engineering in school, becoming a pioneer in developing tools to mold plastics for which he held several patents. They lived in and around Bartlesville, Oklahoma for 25 years where he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in research and development. He always had a love of farming, ranching and all things mechanical. He farmed and ranched on his various properties in Amorita, Bowring, Bartlesville, and Nowata, Oklahoma. In 1981 they moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas where he farmed and had cattle while working in plastic molding companies. Doyle and Marilyn belonged to a dear group of friends at Nicodemus Community Church where he served as Deacon for many years. Marilyn passed away 12/12/2012.
Doyle was a loving father, raising three daughters to also love and serve the Lord. His good example of what a father's love should look like made it so easy to accept our Heavenly Father's love. Doyle loved his country and was a proud patriot.
After many years of friendship, Doyle and Marian Nokes joined their lives in marriage on September 20, 2014. They enjoyed their time together whether traveling or just watching tv and eating ice cream. Due to Marian's loving care, Doyle was able to stay in his own home until the very last 3 weeks. We are very grateful for the kind and gentle care given by Circle of Life Hospice for the past year.
He is survived by wife, Marian Alexander of Siloam Springs and her daughters Debbie Wolcott and husband Steven, Andrea Stonebraker and Valerie Chism and husband Craig. His daughters are Melanie Sue Worrell and husband Greg from Colorado, Molly Jo Blankenship and husband Earl from Tulsa, Jennifer Lee Martin and husband Brad of Siloam. Seven grandchildren: Amy Huang, Kara Young and Christina Brewster; Jason and Brandon Blankenship; Abby Russell and Alex Martin. He has eleven great grandchildren: Geoffrey, Peter, Samuel and Isaiah Huang; Emerson, Quincy and Tyler Young; Naomi Brewster; Amos Blankenship; Raelynn and Whitley Russell.
The visitation for Doyle will be held 10:00AM-11:00AM on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Nicodemus Community Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with Pastor Aaron Asencio officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00PM at Oak Hill Cemetery of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
