Marsha Sue Lambert (Nanny Sue) departed for Heaven on July 20, 2025. She was born February 5, 1941, in De Queen, AR, was deeply loved and will be missed by family and friends. Mom always made time for Steve and I. We had a wonderful childhood, because of Mom. She made sure that we had many fun experiences. Growing up, Mom worked as a night dispatcher at the Shreveport Police Department. She would come home after work, sleep a few hours…back her Impala up to the boat and to the lake we would go. Mom driving the boat. Steve, friends and I enjoyed a day of skiing. Mom was great about including our friends and making them feel a part of our family. Nanny often showed love through cooking for her family. Mom was best known for her chicken and dumplings and chocolate pie. She enjoyed gardening and loved a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Mom was very passionate about shopping. She considered it her "second" job. She never left a store without a bag in hand. Throughout Mom's life she was the friend who hosted and organized. Friends would gather at her home to watch her beloved Razorbacks. Having the opportunity to see the Razorbacks play The College World Series was a highlight for Mom. Mom demonstrated her love for her family in so many ways. I always loved animals, and Mom allowed me to have many cats and dogs throughout my childhood. However, she didn't quite understand the attachment I experienced with my pets. That all changed one day. A trip to Walmart and $40 later was the beginning of a new chapter for Mom. She took home a sweet Schnauzer mix she named Sassy. Mom finally experienced the special relationship one can have with a fur baby. Steve recalls Mom being his greatest cheerleader. He still remembers Mom's voice at athletic events shouting words of encouragement. This support never wavered. Later in life, Mom became an active member of Springdale Senior Citizen Center. She loved todance and could be found "cuttin a rug" on the dance floor every Thursday. She participated and volunteered in various activities with the many special friends she made at the Center. Mom was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church and faithfully studied the bible and read the Upper Room Daily Devotional. Steve and I find solace in knowing Mom is in Heaven with her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held in DeQueen, AR. Memorials can be made to the Springdale Senior Citizen Center or the DeQueen First United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com
