Doyle Wayne was born to Doyle Freeman and Bernice (Rogers) Combs and grew up in Iowa Park, Texas attending school there. After graduation he joined the Navy and later the Air Force. He married Shirley Chumley from Byers, Texas, and retired as a Custodian from Kidwell, Elementary in Iowa Park, Texas.
He is preceded by his wife Shirley; sister Jana Sue Woody and dad Doyle Freeman and mom Bernice.
Doyle Wayne is survived by three sons, Doyle, Jr. (Rocky), Roger, and Robin; one grandson Billy; a brother Gerald Combs of Nocona, Texas; sisters, Sherrie Wagner of Amarillo, Texas, Jeri McCann of Iowa Park, Texas, and Tracy Hill of Azle, Texas; and stepmother Johnie Brown of Iowa Park, Texas.
Services will be held at Faith Village Church of Christ, Wichita Falls, Texas on Tuesday June 4th at 10:00 am.
Family memorial services will be at a later date in Byers, Texas.
