Doyle Perkins Jenkins

Mr. Doyle Perkins Jenkins, age 86, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on Friday evening, September 13, 2024 at Houston Healthcare in Perry, Georgia. There will be no services at this time.
Perkins was born in Grovania, Ga. on June 30, 1938 to the late Freeman and Johnnie Black Jenkins. He attended school in Perry and graduated with the class of (1956 tough as nails and strong as bricks). Perkins was married the love of his life, Marvelle Stewart Jenkins for 67 years. He always worked with timber which was his first love. He eventually owned and operated Jenkins Logging Inc. and met many people though buying their timber and cutting hauling it to different places like Tolleson Lumber Company and others. Perkins had a good reputation and most people were happy with his job performance. He loved to fish and hunt. He and Marvelle spent most summers in Alaska fishing for sockeye reds with friends. Perkins helped establish Grovania Baptist Church and was happy being a Deacon and loving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Marvelle Stewart Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.
