Doyle Lee Parker, age 88, of Union Mills, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Born December 06, 1936, in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Odell Parker and Dora Conner Parker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Nancy Brown Parker.
Doyle was a hardworking man who spent his entire career in the sawmill industry. He loved his family deeply and was known for his warm sense of humor. Doyle enjoyed bear hunting, keeping up with the news, and cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Dale Parker, Patricia Parker, and Jessica Parker; one sister, Dolene Upton; two brothers Duval Parker and Delmer Parker; three grandchildren, Josh Sluder, Benjamin Parker, and Henry Conner; and two great-grandchildren, Kadence Sluder and Waylynn Sluder.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Beam Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Montford Cove Cemetery.
