Doyle Arthur Shoemaker of Lonedell, MO departed this life in St. Clair, MO on Saturday, October 11, 2025, having reached the age of eighty-nine years, nine months and ten days. Doyle was born in Owensville, MO on January 11, 1936, son of Henry Logan Shoemaker, known to most as "Logan", and Sarah Edna Shoemaker nee Morgan, known to most as "Edna". On August 5, 1961 he was united in marriage to Darline May Stradford and one daughter came to bless this union.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Darline Shoemaker of Lonedell, MO; by his daughter, Laura Watson and husband Jeff, of St. Clair, MO; by one brother, Stanley Shoemaker and wife, Kathy, of Owensville, MO; by his grandchildren, Amy Nowack and husband, Bryan, of Owensville, MO and Joshua Watson and girlfriend, Carissa Busse, of St. Clair, MO; by his great-grandchildren, Colten, Jamison, Owen, Anniston and Della; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Doyle was a Christian and had previously attended Crossroads Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and going on many wellness calls. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army, entering on January 8, 1959 and receiving his honorable discharge on January 6, 1961. During his working career he was employed by Boeing Corporation as a sheet metal worker, serving the company for about forty-five years. Doyle was a volunteer for the Richwoods Fire Department, member of the Richwoods Lions Club and member of CERTS (Community Emergency Response Team), participating in disaster response. He enjoyed showing tractors, participating in tractor pulls (winning first place many times) and anything that had to do with an engine. Doyle loved being outdoors and loved his pet dog "Tippy" and taking him on walks. What meant most to him was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created together will be cherished by them all forever.
