Audrey M. Shoemaker

Audrey passed away on October 17, 2025 at age 82 after a long illness. Audrey grew up in a large family as the oldest sibling of 8, seven sisters and one brother, and has many nieces and nephews. She and husband, Tim, raised their children on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she loved living by the water. Throughout her life, Audrey was often found sitting on the beach with toes in the sand enjoying the sun, shopping for antiques, or relaxing around the fire at the campground in their RV. Family gatherings were where Audrey was most endearingly known for her story-telling and big smile. She loved wine-tasting and anything chocolate, especially when it was enjoyed with family and friends. Audrey retired from the C&P Telephone Company, which became Verizon, after 22 years of service and retired again from MD Department of Juvenile Justice after 10 years. More recently, Audrey enjoyed reading, traveling, watching football, jewelry shopping, and having coffee on the porch in the mornings with Tim and their dog, Bella.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Tim, of 52 years; son, Mark and his partner, Jeri; daughter, Holly and her husband, Todd; and grandsons, Connor and Ryan.
There will be a celebration of life, date/time/place to be determined.
