Thomas (Tommy) Burton Elmore, 82, passed away at his home in Pittsville, MD on 10/11/2025. He was born on 02/11/1943 in Baltimore, MD to his parents, Lawrence Elmore and Mary Reed (nee Boemmel).
Tommy attended Sparrows Point High School. Following his education, Tommy worked at Western Electric in Baltimore, MD until 1985 when he transferred to AT&T in Phoenix, AZ and when AT&T changed over to Lucent Technologies he continued to work there until his retirement.
Tommy remained living in AZ until 2019 when he moved to Pittsville, MD to live around family. Tommy absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He even had a tattoo of each of his great-grandchildren's names. Tommy enjoyed playing and watching golf, watching football, going to his great grandchildren's sports and birthday parties, eating crabs, and his daily trip to Walmart.
He is survived by his children Jeffrey (Sandy) Elmore of Baltimore, MD and Kevin Elmore of Pittsville, MD, his grandchildren Jeremy (Jenn) Elmore, Justin Elmore, Nicholas (Lindsey) Elmore, Katie (Travis) Queen and Tyler Elmore, his great-grandchildren Colton Elmore, Addilyn Elmore, Porter Elmore, Mia Elmore, Everleigh Queen, Valley Queen and Delilah Elmore, his sisters Patricia Rolfes and Laura (Fred) Unkart, his lifetime companion Fran Elmore and many nieces & nephews. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Elmore and great-grandson Bennett Elmore.
Tommy is being cremated and requested that there be no service or viewing and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Thomas, please visit our floral store.
